Post-Production Update

I'm thrilled to share that Farther Along officially reached picture lock at the end of June, meaning the visual edit is finalized! Huge shoutout to our incredible editor Amandine Thomas, whose work on the short film Susana made its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. Her storytelling instincts and sharp eye for detail truly elevated the film.

We’re also grateful for our brilliant Title Designer & VFX artist Bernardo Ramirez, who crafted an amazing opening effect and title sequence that gives the film its finishing polish. His work adds so much to the tone and texture of the piece.

After his first screening, our sound designer Will Kurzner shared this reaction:

I finally got to watch and I really enjoyed it! The acting was great, and I loved the creative flashback story structure. Harvey’s goofy sincerity and vulnerability, paired with Wesley’s mix of annoyance and empathy struck a fun and heartfelt chord to me.

(Yes, we’re paying him… but still 😏)

Meanwhile, Dustin Wadsworth from Company 3, who’s leading our color grade, just sent over an early preview and it looks stunning. We can’t wait to share more soon.

If all goes according to plan, we’ll be fully finished next month! Stay tuned for festival news and more updates from the Farther Along team!
